Can you hear that?
Listen closely…
A light wind…
Can you feel it touching your soul?
Listen… can you hear
The birds singing?
Aaaah… a mom and dad playing with there child
Can you hear that?
Feel the love touching your heart.
Listen to the girls playing hopscotch
Giggling and laughing
And the music in background… their music
So much life… just listen
The puppies that are playing
Not a worry in the world
Can you hear that?
Hear the “ding” of the oven?
Your meal is ready.
Listen to the sighs
As others enjoy the fine taste
Then the talk around the table
Foolish words… wise words
Words of concern… words of love
Can you hear that?
The smile of your neighbor
The teachings of your friends
Listen closely…
The words they have
The thoughts they share
Touch a place in our soul
Intuitively we know
Our higher power is at work
Can you hear that?

Dave, Yes I listen and I do hear that..
For years I went to Alanon, my ex-husband was an alcoholic and my parents were alcoholics. I know the twelve step program it is a saving grace for a second chance. Keep on writing the encouraging your readers with your insightful and wise outlook.
