Even if it just lets them know they weren't alone. Having a good childhood, I can't begin to see what this would be like, so it can also teach people like me to understand. But to come to this point in life about speaking the truth was your battle and you were ready for it. It seems that your family is still on their journey that has not finsished, or they may never want to. This battle of family secrets became the inspiration for my book, Maddy's Secret.
